Old Photograph
For this project, we were given this old, damaged photograph. It was our job to edit, repair, add and improvise all the damaged areas using photoshop. On the right below is my finished product. It's now looking like a 'new' picture.
Army
For this project, we were supposed to recreate the bottom picture, using the top picture as our original. In photoshop, I created two different, additional layers and painted over them to add color to the uniforms and faces. The picture on the right is what I came up with.
Makeover
To do this, I started with the picture on the left. Using multiple different tools in photoshop, I edited the left side to match the right side as closely as possible. Each edit I did was on its own layer. Some of the tools I used included the burn tool, paint and blur tool. The right picture is as close as I could get to the original.
Mirror Illusion
This project was based off of Eric Johansson's photographs where he reflected the buildings onto the street. He would then "cut out" tiles of the reflected image and make it look 3D. In photoshop, I used a picture of an empty street. By selecting a part of the buildings, I vertically flipped the image on a separate layer. Then, making the lines for the tiles, I used the magic wand tool to select a single tile and added a drop shadow to make it really look 3D. The left picture is before and the right picture is the final product.
Museum Pictures
To do this, I used the polygon lasso tool in photoshop to "cut out" the painting of the woman in the left picture. I then moved it over to the middle picture of the museum. I then used the distort tool to match up the corners of the painting to the corners of the other paintings already in the middle picture. By using the distort tool, it made the picture of the lady look like they belong. The finished product is the picture on the right.
Baseball Card
This was originally a really old-looking baseball card. By painting, clone stamping and changing the opacity of the colors, I was able to make the card look brand new.
Older Couple and a Baby
The task for this project was to make the picture on the left black and white. After selecting just the picture and not the border, I then selected the inverse option under "Select". I then turned the brightness all the way up and the contrast all the way down. I used the clone stamp to fix the faded edges. The finished product is the picture on the right.
Celebrity Retouching
This objective of this project is similar to the Makeover project. I had to make the girl on the left of the left picture look similar to the right side of the picture. By using the blur and burn tool I was able to make the skin look as close to the side with makeup on. I adjusted the color levels and hue/saturation levels to match it as close as possible. I also used paint to even out certain areas. I used paint to make her look like she's wearing lip gloss or lip stick, whichever it is. My finished picture is on the right, the left side.
